# Prove it, then finish

> Spot-check one subscriber everywhere, then retire the old app.

OPENSUBS PLATFORM

**1. Spot-check one subscriber in all three places**

* Pick one migrated contract. Open it in the Shopify admin, then the OpenSubs admin, then sign into the portal as that subscriber.

> [!TIP]
>
> **Checkpoint:** same card, same next charge date, same line prices, in all three.

**2. Turn on frequency editing**

* Migrated subscriptions keep billing on their own cadence no matter what. But the frequencies a subscriber can switch to come from your selling plans, and you matched those to the old platform's in [The day before](https://docs.opensubs.com/platform-v2/migrate/the-day-before.md).
* Under **Migration results**, find the frequency editing panel. With your plans already matched, it reads "All migrated products already belong to a selling plan group, so frequency editing works". Nothing to do.
* See **Attach N product(s)** instead? Some migrated cadences have no matching plan yet. One click builds a "Migrated subscriptions" plan group that covers them, at a 0% discount, editable later under **Selling plans**. Attaching also adds a subscription purchase option to those product pages.

> [!TIP]
>
> **Checkpoint:** the panel confirms every migrated cadence is covered by a plan.

**3. Collect the missing cards**

* From the receipt, message the **needs card** subscribers a portal link; they add a card under their account details.
* When the cards land, run again from a fresh export. Everyone who already moved is skipped automatically.

> [!TIP]
>
> **Checkpoint:** the needs-card list is shrinking.

**4. Repoint your links**

* Update every "manage your subscription" link to your portal: email templates, Klaviyo flows (see [Set up email and SMS](https://docs.opensubs.com/platform-v2/run/set-up-email-and-sms.md)), and the theme's account menu (point it at `/a/account`).
* Using Shopify's customer accounts? Enable the OpenSubs customer accounts extension there, so subscribers signed into the main account area can jump straight to the subscription portal to manage their subscription.

> [!TIP]
>
> **Checkpoint:** old portal links gone from subscriber-facing surfaces.

**5. Uninstall the old app, last**

* Only after the spot-check. Uninstalling can delete the old app's contracts (some apps do), which is fine once yours exist. Do it early and you lose the ability to compare or re-export.

> [!TIP]
>
> **Checkpoint:** old app gone. The percentage stops here.

**6. Watch the first migrated renewal**

* The first day a migrated charge date comes due, the hourly billing run picks it up once your store's clock passes your **Daily billing time**. The order lands in Shopify. Revenue, at a 0% fee.
* [The morning check](https://docs.opensubs.com/platform-v2/run/the-morning-check.md) is the ritual for watching the first wave.

> [!TIP]
>
> **Checkpoint:** the first migrated renewal is in your orders list. Done.

## The scary part is behind you

The cards never moved, your subscribers never heard a thing, and every renewal now bills through OpenSubs at a 0% fee.
